Product Coaching & Mentoring – Proven Services To Empower and Motivate

IntegratedThinking provides a range of product coaching and mentoring services to Product Managers and Strategic Marketers in both start-up and scaling companies, including:

I have been VP of Product Management in a large software company and have managed a team of product managers and then founded my own business. Following on from the experience I gained as a product manager, I now provide product coaching and mentoring and strategic marketing services. Over 30 years of working with client companies, I have developed approaches, tools and techniques that have been proven to add value to strategic marketers and product managers.

I offer product coaching and mentoring to product managers, strategic marketers and leadership teams. The services I offer apply to early stage or small to medium sized businesses. My aim is to empower those I work with to be the best individuals and teams they can be. I understand the core of product management and strategic marketing and how it can be adopted to drive real value for a business.

My Approach

I have hands-on experience in strategic roles. For this reason I understand the importance of professional development, alongside the practicalities of adopting best practice in the more functional elements of a role. I enhance my services by having a Diploma in Executive Coaching from Kingstown College. and hold team coaching certificates from both 6TeamConditions and the Rocket Model.

As a result of my experience with clients to date, I adopt an approach to product coaching and mentoring that is relevant not just to technology businesses but to any business that creates products, solutions or services for their target markets.

Due to wide ranging needs of clients, I tailor my approach for each client that I work with by offering:

  • Flexible and tailored workshops (in-house) on the full range of services outlined above
  • One-to-one mentoring of those responsible for driving a strategic approach to market development or product management
  • Longer term engagements where the consultant embeds in the company for a period of time to support the establishment of new practices

I have been a mentor on the Enterprise Ireland Strategic Marketing Review panel since 2017. IntegratedThinking is also part of the UCD Nova – Mentoring For Scale group.

What Next?

The Product Manager or Strategic Marketer is an important and strategic resource in your company.  Making sure they are effective from the start takes focus. For this reason, don’t assume a product manager will hit the ground running in a new company. Sometimes it can take time and support to ensure your approach works.
Offer product coaching and mentoring to your strategic resources so that they can hit the ground running.
In my previous roles in Product Management, I learned quickly that applying a structured approach ensured myself and my team could work well together. The application of the approach and the understanding of what works for your company comes with experience.
